Parodia magnificus crave full sunlight for 4 to 6 hours daily. Conversely, insufficient sunlight can lead to weak growth and minimal blooming.
As a desert cactus, Parodia magnificus can tolerate periods without water. Water the cactus thoroughly during its active growth season (spring and summer), saturating the soil. Allow the soil to dry out to prevent root rot caused by waterlogged conditions.
Parodia magnificus will benefit from an application of an All Purpose, Slow Release fertiliser every 9-12 months.
You can grow Parodia magnificus in warm climates directly in the ground. For containers, ensure well-draining soil rich in nutrients.
